Round 2: Chemo day

On Monday July 5th, I had my second round of chemo, but it was my first session using my new port that was installed 2 weeks ago.  It went well and relatively easy to place the needle into my chest with little to no pain.  I received some great news this time around.  My PSA score has continued to lower as I begin my treatment.  At the time of diagnosis it was at 524, and then rapidly rose to 645 a month ago.  At the time of my first chemo session, I was informed that it had dropped to 240 after my Lupron shot (hormone therapy).  I was happy to hear this drop of 400 points.   Well yesterday (Monday) the doctor informed me that it has gone way down to 69!!   It looks like my therapy plan is working and your prayers and well wishes are bringing positive results.

I am now waiting to see if I have any side effects from this round of chemo, hopefully they are minimum if any at all, due to my weight gain and generally overall rise in energy and well being.  We shall see...  I have made a video discussing this news along with a general update on my condition.  You can view it here under the videos tab.

Once again, I am overwhelmed by your continual thoughts, well wishes, and prayers.  They do not go unnoticed, believe me.  May God bless you all....

Freddie, We haven't spoken in quite a while, you offered a hand to me several years ago when I was living on the side of the road, I've never forgotten, I'm offering mine to you if you need it. I was diagnosed with Leukemia a couple months back, it was a shock, I know that you know that space in time. I just listened to your original music for the first time, a bit different from when we were both doing single's playing around town. Your Music is Wondeful brother. Couldn't help Myself to Questions for God...Good Stuff..! Listening to you sing took me back to 1970 living in Hollywood with my band and w/ Rick Page and his band, as I went from one song of yours and then to another, You're voice has alot of his same timber at times, very beautiful delivery My friend. Maybe sometime we can do something together. Praying for you brother. Peace and Love God Bless You. Ian.

Freddie - it has been a few years since we talked ... the last time we saw you perform was at the Wrigley Mansion with my friend Tom Hines ... Ginny & I think of you often, and wish you well in your fight (I too went through a cancer scare a couple years ago, and had my prostate removed) ... you have touched so many lives (including most of my family and friends) and I will always remember the two conferences I had you perform at for our clients, and the numerous occasions I had with you at Los Dos Molinos ... take care my friend, and best of luck in your fight ... Mike Tabbert.
